Greenacre Hotel

“We had a lovely stay at the Greenacre Hotel, with service being a real highlight - especially at checking in at the bar. The welcoming beer was a great touch, and the staff were genuinely friendly, smiling, and approachable. Even the other guests in the bar and casino were warm and welcoming, which created a really nice atmosphere. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and spacious. We arrived quite late on our first night (around 10:30 pm) after spending the evening exploring the city, and it was really appreciated to have the flexibility of a smooth late check-in.l since they have a restaurant/pub downstairs open until 4 am every day. The bathroom is very large, but the shower is not the best… super hot, but just no pressure. So if you spent a long day at the beach and need a really good hair wash, this is something to keep in mind. We enjoyed the space and felt safe in the area throughout our stay. Having a grocery store and bottle shop right next door was very convenient. Public transport is also easy, with bus stops nearby and a train station not far. On our second day, we used public transport to get into the city and found it super easy and efficient. One downside for us was the lack of room service during our stay. There was no refill of coffee or water, and we weren’t able to get fresh towels - even though we left a note on the door clearly requesting basic service only, not a full room clean. Overall, a great value, comfortable and welcoming stay in Sydney.”

“Excellent stay at local pub/hotel. Bar staff are so welcoming & friendly - what a fabulously great team! Complimentary drink was most appreciated, too. Rooms very pleasant, and mattress comfort is out of this world! Like sleeping on a cloud. Only negative was collection of cobwebs at ceiling height, and Charlotte and her massive web above the wardrobe. Clean those and you get another star rating!”

“My husband and I had a really enjoyable stay at Greenacre Hotel. The venue has a great mix of spaces… two bar areas, outdoor beer garden, and a separate punting pavilion joining the main building to the beer garden (horses, football, keno etc). The poker machine room is set alongside a beautiful garden, which gives it a pleasant atmosphere. The room itself was exactly what you’d expect from a good pub stay, clean, and very reasonably priced. The bed was incredibly comfortable and makes for a great night’s sleep. What really got us, though was the staff. Efie was absolutely amazing — so helpful and accommodating, and she genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Thank you Efie for making our stay so good. A big thank you as well to Evy, who has such a warm and lovely personality. Both of them clearly take pride in what they do; they were always checking in to make sure everything was comfortable and running smoothly, all while staying on top of keeping everything clean and organised. It’s rare to come across service that feels this genuine. Efie and Evy really go above and beyond, and they made the whole stay feel personal and welcoming. This was our second stay and we look forward to seeing Efie and Evy again.”
